Glimpses of grace seen in the everyday

I want to share glimpses of God’s truth and work that He shows me in the Word, in the world around me and in His people. My heart and work is in the translation of the Bible, because God’s Word is of highest worth to me. Now matter how many times I read it, there’s always a new treasure to be discovered there.

I’ve been very happily married to Ron for almost 37 years. We have three grown sons, three daughters-in-law and soon to be eleven grandchildren. No pets at this time, though I do like cats.

In my leisure time I enjoy playing arrangements of Christian songs on the piano, reading, and cross-stitching. Ron and I also enjoy a weekly date to one of the many coffee shops in the city where we live.

My motto for something like 40 years has been this:
How simple life becomes
when we have only one object to seek, one purpose to fulfill—
–to walk with God,
–to please God!

  1. My sister, Carla Bartsch, mentioned your website. I;m just trying to learn all this social media after recently publishing my book, Ripples of God’s Love. It’s basically about the faithfulness of God’s love, especially in trying times, but there are lots of other categories.

I plan to follow your website periodically to learn how other people do it. I’ve put a couple things on my blog, but maybe it isn’t done right, because to my knowledge, noone has gone to it except my granddaughter, and she responds on Facebook.

    Hi Donna,

I’ve open your website and I was struck by your motto, indeed there’s no other way than pleasing our God in this life. May God bless you and keep you in His loving care always!
